'Those who have a bad view of sites such as Facebook, are generally those who have never used it and are not aware of what it has to offer.' - I can't agree more.

Thanks for the mention Kate! I hope our message strikes a chord with educators and others who are interested in leveraging the power and fun that technology can bring to instruction and other efforts that can engage young minds. Take care.

In partnership with Sefton Youth Service a Duke of Edinburgh drop in centre runs from Bootle and Netherton Fire station every Thursday. Positive Futures attended our award night last week and the Fire Service hope to be able to offer the young people more sports activities to enable them to complete the skill section of their Bronze Award. It was a great night and thanks goes to Netherton Neighbourhood Action Group for supporting the project from the start. I hope we can look in the future to develop more Duke of Edinburgh centres across Mersyside.

Well the youth of today are as usual leading the way in getting technology to work for them so it's down to us to try to get a grip of blogs, podcasts .... and learn a whole new way of comunicating. If we really mean what we say when we talk about consulting young people let alone getting them to design future youth provision, technology has to be the amswer.
Looking forward to learning lots in the near future but be patient with me Katie.
